Members of the Governing Body Ref: 15-GOVERN-01
At UCA we are 100% creative. As a specialist arts university, each of our campuses holds a vibrant community of artists, designers, scholars and creative arts professionals. Oscar winning film makers, world-renowned fashion designers, celebrity jewellers and Turner Prize nominees are just some of our high-profile graduates.
We are now seeking to appoint external members to our Board of Governors to help drive forward our strategic vision to be internationally recognised as a leading creative arts university. We are looking for individuals with experience of leading private or public sector organisations, who are interested in further and higher education and the creative arts.
To ensure the right balance of skills, we are particularly interested in applicants with expertise in one or more of the following areas: legal services, finance or accounting, creative practice, or higher education. Ideal candidates will possess the independence to make a significant contribution to board discussions, and the collegiality necessary for maintaining effective working relationships.
Governors are not paid. However travel and subsistence whilst on University business are re-imbursed.
UCA is committed to equality and values diversity and is striving to increase the diversity of our governing body. We encourage applications from all sections of the community.
