Sunset+Vine is a global sports media company with major international host broadcast production contracts and UK and international broadcast commissions. We produce more than 2,000 hours of original sports programming a year - a combination of live, highlights and feature programming.
The company has offices in London, Dubai, Singapore, Glasgow and Cardiff.
As a Producer in the Rugby department at Sunset + Vine you will be a vital member of a team producing 100s of hours of high quality sports TV coverage every year.
We are looking for someone with experience producing live sport on location.
The successful applicant must be well organised and able to plan a show to make sure everything is in place for the day. You should have experience of scripting and the role requires liaising with clubs, crew and on screen talent to write a running order for everyone to work off during the live production.
On match day the successful applicant will then produce from the OB gallery leading the crew and talent through the running order to deliver high quality programming. As with all live sport things can change last minute and when on air. Therefore, the applicant should have a track record working well under pressure and have the ability to adapt and communicate changes quickly and concisely to all involved.
They will work closely with talent during games to pick out the key events to analyse at half time and full time. A love of rugby and a journalistic eye is important to make sure the key talking points are covered on air.
As a Producer you should have a good idea of how a sports TV department works, and contribute towards the management of the team and resources across a range of programming. This includes working closely with APs to come up with ideas for features and promo VTs as well as contributing new ways to keep the live shows engaging.
A good knowledge of the personalities involved in the contemporary game is a huge asset, but first and foremost we are looking for someone with experience producing live OBs and a relentless work ethic.
